Spring/summer 2017 The Deep Blue Collection

The Deep Blue collection is inspired by old pirate films like the Crimson Pirate and all the life in and around the ocean. The collection is full of super-cute sea-horses in bubblegum colours, majestic swans on a dark lake full of waterlilies, a treasure map used by some long gone pirate, a loving octopus and much much more. The patterns are called Elsemar, Something Fishy, Going for a Ride, The Swan Lake and Little World. All the garments are organic and fairly produced at a small facility in Izmir in Turkey.

The Heavenly Collection

The Peace collection, or The Heavenly Collection as I initially called it, has finally arrived!

A collection with the theme of peace, love, friendship and reconciliation, doesn't change a thing in the world. But you can not helt but to react to the outside world and this is my reaction.

So, now you can dress your little ones in lovely spring green tones with peace doves carrying olive branches in their beaks - the classic peace gesture. Peace Please is the name of this pattern. It matches perfectly with the pattern Love Tiles. Just imagine if you could build and repair love with these cherfully coloured bricks! Angel Delights is a pattern with three great angels; Rita Sue, Dora Mae and Appallonia flying around and proclaiming the message of peace and understanding. This pattern goes nicely with the pattern Heavenly Abode where a bunch of kind-hearted rabbits have moved far far away, all the way into the sky and are now trying to settle in.

APRIL - MY FAVOURITE MONTH

April is my favorite month of the year, as I have my birthday!… and as it’s springtime and as there’s birds singing and as there's snowdrops and crocuses and sun and light and lots of other wonderful things! My kids and I have prepared for summer by planting enough flower seeds to turn our little balcony into a perfect jungle of pink, blue, red, purple, orange and greens….

Soil, home made pots and loads of seeds!

Another thing that’s very exciting about this month is that I will go to Izmir in Turkey to visit the manufacturer that manages the production for Modéerska Huset! This is absolutely thrilling! Make sure to follow Modéerska Huset on Instagram so that you can also take part in this trip and see the place and the people where all Modéerska Huset's garments are printed, cut and sewn.
