NY ÅTERFÖRSÄLJARE - NEW RETAILER: DIGULO

I dag är jag nöjd! Jag har nämligen fått en riktigt fin återförsäljare i min egen "hood" i Göteborg: Digulo i Majorna! Det är en jättefin butik som ligger på Karl Johansgatan med härliga ambitioner och fina varumärken. De tar roliga foton också, som det nedan! Läs deras blogg, och följ dem på fb!

NY ÅTERFÖRSÄLJARE - NEW RETAILER: MAELKETANDEN

Modéerska Huset har precis fått sin första order från sin första återförsäljare i Danmark! Äntligen Danmark. Det känns verkligen roligt och jag är hemskt nöjd! Butiken heter Maelketanden och är en internetbutik med ett showroom och drivs av Jennie Holm Jensen.

Modéerska Huset has got it's first order from it's first retailer in Denmark! Denmark, at last. This is such happy news and I'm terribly pleased! The shop is called Maelketanden (the milk tooth) and is an internet boutique with a showroom and is run by Jennie Holm Jensen.

Nu har jag hela vårens kollektion i min studio - tio tunga lådor. Nästa vecka ska kollektionen fotas av "min" underbara fotograf Johanna Hedborg och naturligtvis i samarbete med några tre fabulösa små barn! Under tiden har jag massor att göra: förbereda mässan i Köpenhamn i februari, packa om klädlådorna, skicka ut lådorna till återförsäljarna och lägga upp de nya artiklarna i Modéerska Husets internetbutik.
Äntligen hopp om värme och vår!

The spring collections is here at my studio now - ten heavy boxes. Next week the lovely photographer Johanna Hedborg will take studio pictures of the collection and obviously some three fabulous kids will partake! Meanwhile I have loads to do: preparing the fair in Copenhagen in February, repack the boxes, send the boxes to my retailers and add the new styles to Modéerska Huset's web shop.
Finally there's hope we'll have spring again!

NYA MÖNSTER - NEW PATTERNS

Det är så roligt att rita! och jag känner mig ganska så nöjd med resultatet än så länge. Tre rapport-mönster är helt klara nu. Jag vill inte avslöja för mycket så här långt i förväg men på bilderna nedan visar jag lite smådetaljer från de svartvita originalen. I morgon ska jag skicka iväg två av mönstren till Turkiet, sen blir det jobbigt att gå och vänta på att få se de första provtrycken.

Drawing is so much fun! and so far I'm quite pleased with the result. Three all over patterns are now finished. I don't want to give too much away this early but the pictures above show details from the black and white originals. Tomorrow I'll send two of the patterns off to Turkey, then I'll need to be patient and waitwaitwaitwaitwait to see the first test print.

JANE EYRE

Den senaste tiden har jag njutit av Jane Eyre av Charlotte Brontë. Vilken underbar historia! Men en bra bok är tyvärr väldigt dålig för moralen. Man vill sluta jobba och börja negligera barnen, men istället för att göra det fick jag helt enkelt låta bli att sova! Min fascination för Jane Eyre började med att jag såg den nya filmen med Mia Wasikowska som Jane Eyre och Michael Fassbender som Mr Rochester, som hade premiär i september i år. Sen såg jag en miniserie på fyra delar från 2006 med Ruth Wilson och Toby Stephens i huvudrollerna och förra lördagen sprang jag på boken av en slump när jag skulle med tåget till Karlstad. Nu har jag läst den, på engelska så klart. Filmen var jättefin, miniserien underbar och boken helt fantastisk! Bilderna nedan är från miniserien. Jane Eyre publicerades för första gången 1847 under pseudonymet Currer Bell. Jag älskar att läsa böcker från den här perioden, eftersom de ger ett intressant perspektiv till det liv vi lever i dag. Det är inte mycket som har ändrats.....

I almost stopped working and began neglecting the kids. I didn't though, so instead I stopped sleeping at night.... My first meeting with Jane Eyre was the new film from September with Mia Wasikowska as Jane Eyre and Michael Fassbender as Mr Rochester. Then I saw the mini serie from 2006 with Ruth Wilson och Toby Stephens and saturday week as I was catching a train I found the book by chance. Now I've red it, in English of cause! The new film was beautiful, the mini serie was wonderful and the book absolutely fantastic! The pictures above are from the mini serie. Jane Eyre was first published in 1847 under the pseudonym of Currer Bell. I love reading books from this period as it gives such an interesting perspective to our "modern" lifestyle. Nothing much has actually changed....
